With 13 years of experience as Deputy Recorder beginning in 1999, JoAnn was elected, Recorder of Deeds, in November 2012. During her time as Deputy Recorder, she was instrumental in bringing document imaging to the office in January 2007. As Recorder, JoAnn has implemented "free" online record search. She has also implemented a credit card payment option and looks forward to bringing more technological advancements to the Recorder's office while continuing to preserve the records of DeKalb County.
Responsibilities:
Record and maintain Real Estate documents
Issue and maintain Marriage Licenses
File and maintain State and Federal Tax Liens
File and maintain Military Discharge documents
It is office policy not to accept blanket documents
No pictures or scanning of documents by phone or any other means will be allowed
With all recordings, enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope

*Real Estate indexed images are available from 1977 through current date
*Tax Liens are indexed from 1997 through current date and images are available beginning in 2013
*Marriage Licenses are indexed from 1928 through current date and images are unavailable
